ICASA aims to contribute to a substantial decrease in the proportion of ADHD patients developing an addiction/substance use disorder (SUD) and to substantially improve the detection, diagnosis and treatment of patients having both ADHD and SUD.

Toni Ramos-Quiroga, MD, PhD
J. Antoni Ramos-Quiroga is psychiatrist, Head of Department of Psychiatry at Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron (HUVH) in Barcelona, Spain. He is Principal Investigator of Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). He is president of Innovation Commission at HUVH and member of the Scientific Committee of VHIR. He is professor of psychiatry at Barcelona Autonomous University. He is Chair of the section Neurodevelopmental Disorders Across Lifespan of the European Psychiatric Association. He published more than 150 articles on the field of neurodevelopmental disorders (h-index 36) and he is editor of the journal ADHD Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorders. He is principal investigator of VHIR in 5 European grants (FP7-H2020) focused on ADHD and autism. Dr. Ramos-Quiroga was one of the founders of ICASA and he is member of the board of ICASA Foundation. Also, he is member of several international consortiums focused in ADHD (IMpACT, PGC, ADHD-ECNP Network).
